Have you heard of Biblioboard? This is a service that is available to all Illinois residents, including those who do not have a library card. You can download the app Biblioboard or you can go to library.biblioboard.com. When you arrive at the log in page, you will see the information for a name and a password; ignore that. LOOK TO THE RIGHT and see the button labelled Biblioboard Library of Illinois. Click on that button and you will be on your way. This site includes more than 20,000 eBooks including books that are independently published, books written by Illinois authors, classics, educational resources and pop-up picks. One true advantage to this site is that everything that is available is available all of the time to as many people as wish to use it. No waiting, no hold list. Give it a try and let us know what you think. This site is very popular among librarians.
USED BOOKS: We have an outstanding collection (both quality and quantity) of used books available in the foyer. You are welcome to browse the collection any time that the library or the building is open. You will find wonderful fiction and a wide variety of non-fiction, paperbacks and hardbacks. Please come and take a look.
The Community Book Club continues. Generally, they meet on the first Monday of the month at 7 pm. THEY DO NOT MEET IN DECEMBER. On occasion, for the convenience of the members, the meeting may be rescheduled. The next Book Club meeting is Monday, January 2 at 7 pm in the library.

NEW CHILDREN'S and YOUNG ADULT BOOKS AT THE LIBRARY:
We have MANY new children's books, starting with our Caldecott and Newbery collections. Thanks to a Back to Books Grant from the Illinois State Library, we have completed our collections of these award-winning books. Caldecott books are honored for the outstanding art work that they contain. Some Caldecott books have no words and several have few words, but all have outstanding--even breath-taking--illustrations. Newbery books are typically written for children who are grades 2-7. Some include illustrations but all are books with outstanding stories about people, animals, nature--indeed, everything. We encourage you to come and bring your children/grandchildren to browse through these collections.
